Fotografiile realizate la Nisa, chiar in fata celebrei Promenade des Anglais, o arata pe “Zana” asa cum, pana acum, n-a mai fost vazuta vreodata in presa din Romania! Ajutata de soacra ei (mama lui Stefan Banica Jr.), Andreea s-a schimbat de echipamentul de parasailing, luand pe ea o rochita de plaja. Neobisnuita sa poarte un costum mulat din neopren, “Zana” s-a chinuit aproape cinci minute pana a reusit sa-l dea jos.

La un moment dat, situatia oarecum hilara a facut-o pe vedeta sa izbucneasca in ras. Dincolo de orice, Andreea demonstreaza ca urmele sarcinii (in timpul careia a luat 30 de kilograme) s-au sters. “Zana” a revenit la silueta initiala, asa cum, de altfel, sta bine unei vedete atat de populare.

SOUTHPORT, England - Padraig Harrington enjoys few moments more than the walk down 18th fairway of a century-old links course, especially with a four-shot lead in the British Open and the engraver putting the final touches on the oldest trophy in golf.

He stopped Sunday to share the moment with Greg Norman, who knows this path all too well.

Celebration for one, sympathy for the other.

“I did say to him coming down 18 that I was sorry it wasn’t his story that was going to be told,” Harrington said. “I did feel that, but I wanted to win myself. In this game, you have to take your chances when you get them.”

Harrington seized his opportunity by smashing a pair of fairway metals into the par 5s that carried him to a 32 on the back nine of blustery Royal Birkdale and made him Europe’s first player in more than a century to win the British Open two years in a row.

“Obviously, winning a major puts you in a special club,” Harrington said after closing with a 1-under 69 to win by four shots over Ian Poulter. “Winning two of them puts you in a new club altogether.”

Norman got a chance no one saw coming.

BAGHDAD - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s visit to Iraq for talks with commanders of a war he long opposed follows the prime minister’s apparent endorsement of his troop withdrawal plan and a shift by the White House away from refusing to discuss that option.

Obama has called for withdrawing U.S. troops at the rate of one or two brigades a month, ending combat operations within 16 months of becoming president. He favors leaving behind a residual force to protect U.S. personnel, train Iraqi security forces and counter attacks by al-Qaida.

The Illinois senator, challenged at every turn on the Iraq issue by Republicans, including presidential rival Sen. John McCain, was expected to arrive in the country amid the controversy over comments by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that were supportive of Obama’s 16-month timetable.

The Iraqi leader’s aides have said his remarks, published in a German magazine, were misunderstood and that he was not taking sides in the U.S. election. Earlier this month, however, al-Maliki said negotiations between his government and the United States on an agreement spelling out a continued role for U.S. forces in Iraq must include some kind of timetable for withdrawing troops from his country.
